The insole length is measured using the Plus 12 measuring tool, which allows for the actual internal length of the shoe to be measured. This provides a more accurate result than measuring from the insole, as the insole is generally a few millimeters shorter than the actual internal measurement. When using the Plus 12, the ruler's edge is not pressed strongly against the shoe's toe, as excessive pressure can distort the shoe's shape and size, leading to inaccurate measurements. The width is measured using the Clevermess tool.
