Rainwear with lining

As the Estonian climate is often rainy, it is important that children have weatherproof outdoor clothing to maximize their time outdoors.

In rainy weather, we recommend that children wear rainwear. In warmer weather, from late spring to early autumn, choose rainwear without lining and from late autumn to early spring rainwear with lining.

Rainwear with lining can also be worn in winter when there is sleet (at temperatures between 0°C and -5°C). Although modern winter clothing is generally quite waterproof, the advantage of lined rainwear is not only its waterproofness, but also its ease of care — often it is sufficient to simply wipe it with a damp cloth or rinse it under running lukewarm water. However, frequent washing of winter clothing can reduce its properties, such as waterproofing, insulation, etc.

The finishing touch to rainwear is provided by thermal boots and rain gloves .

We recommend wearing rainwear only in rainy weather, as rainwear is not very breathable due to its waterproofing function, and therefore children may start sweating even during light activity. In humid weather, we recommend wearing clothing appropriate for the season.
