Mikk-Line thermal rubber boots are suitable for use during the wet spring-autumn period and also in slightly cooler weather (e.g. with snow). The boots have a warm fur lining with 30% wool (not removable) and a removable insole. The insole is covered on one side with fur and on the other side with a heat-retaining foil. The crotch can be tightened with drawstrings. The thermo-bumps have a reinforced sole pattern for better slip resistance. The strong sole pattern also helps to keep the outerwear soles firmly in place. Despite having a fairly deep pattern, the sole of the rubber is flexible. They have a wide rounded toe and a reflector at the back.
We recommend that you wear them in wet weather and avoid using them as winter footwear (above -5 degrees below zero). The main advantage of rubber boots is that they are waterproof, but they are not breathable. Winter boots often use advanced materials and technologies that provide waterproofing while allowing the foot to breathe. During active movement, they are unable to evaporate perspiration, which can lead to the feet becoming clammy and ultimately cold. However, they are easier to maintain than winter boots, making them ideal for use in dusty and rainy weather.

Before the first use, we recommend treating the rubber with a vegetable oil (e.g. olive oil). As natural rubber is porous, stains and spots can easily form on the surface of the material. The oil seals the porous holes and leaves a light protective layer on the surface, making the rubber more resistant to staining. Read more about rubber maintenance here.
