Mikk-Line rubber boots are suitable for wearing in the rain during the warmer seasons from spring to autumn. They have a wide, rounded toe box and a reflector on the back. Despite the rather deep pattern, the sole is flexible. They are made of natural phthalate-free rubber. Before the first use, we recommend that you treat them with a vegetable oil (e.g. olive oil). As natural rubber is porous, stains and spots can easily form on the surface of the material. The oil seals the porous holes and leaves a light protective layer on the surface, making the rubber more resistant to staining. Read more about rubber maintenance here.

FAQs for the maintenance of hummocks

The rubber boots are more suitable for narrow to medium-width feet. The boots feature a removable insole, on which the manufacturer has printed a "happy feet" allowance of 1.5 cm. However, we do not recommend leaving such a large allowance, as the rubber boot does not stay securely on the foot, which could cause the child to drag their feet. The recommended growth allowance is 1.0–1.2 cm. A raised insole pad is glued under the insole, which can be easily removed.

The measurements are indicative and may vary slightly depending on the measurer. The measurements were taken by Lilz Kids and may differ from the manufacturer’s own data.

The shoe has been measured with a tape measure from the insole. Both in terms of length and width, it is noticeable that there are a few millimeters of extra space, meaning the insole is not the same size as the rubber boot's sole.

When choosing the right size, it's best not to leave too much extra room, as the rubber boot is not secured on the foot, which could cause the child to drag their feet. The recommended growth allowance is 1.0–1.2 cm, while the manufacturer's recommendation is 1.5 cm.
