Mikk-Line barefoot thermal rubber boots are ideal for colder weather, whether it's the cooler days of spring-autumn or the snowy, near-zero temperatures of winter. These boots meet the criteria for barefoot footwear, being flexible, conforming to the shape of the foot and with a zero-drop sole. They have a warm fur lining with 30% wool and 70% polyester. The removable insole is also covered in warm fur and has an aluminium layer underneath to protect your feet from the cold from the ground.
Low-leg gaiters are particularly suitable for smaller children who often have difficulty getting their shoes on, but older children can also slip them on comfortably. Unlike many other barefoot boots, the Mikk-Line has a stronger sole pattern, which provides better slip resistance, often a problem with barefoot boots. The strong sole pattern also helps to keep the outerwear sole stable.
We recommend that you wear them in wet weather and avoid using them as winter footwear (above -5 degrees below zero). The main advantage of rubber ducks is that they are waterproof, but they are not breathable. Winter boots often use advanced materials and technologies to ensure waterproofness while allowing the foot to breathe. During active movement, rubber boots are unable to evaporate sweat, which can lead to the feet becoming clammy and ultimately cold. However, rubber boots are easier to maintain than winter boots, making them ideal in dusty and rainy weather.
